Christmas Open House

Your LAST CHANCE to Get A Christmas Gift
That Will Actually Be Remembered
Are you like me in that you have run out of ideas for Christmas gifts?

I am always racking my brain trying to come up with something truly
unique to give these days.

Usually, I just end up grabbing something at the store
(last-minute, of course) because I can’t think of anything better.

My wife usually appreciates the gift, but she never gets all that
 excited about it.

Until I found something that is actually worth giving.

How many times have you heard the words, “It’s the thought that
counts,” after you have given a less-than-desirable gift?

 I have.  Several times.

And I was never comforted by those words until I experienced
what those words could possibly mean.

Trust me, they can me a heck of a lot more than you think.

If you find yourself struggling to find a memorable gift to give your
spouse this Christmas and want to give something meaningful,
something that will be remembered each Christmas thereafter,
then give the gift that not only benefits your spouse but benefits
others as well.

With a gift from KUDU, you can rest assured that you are giving
to more than just one person this holiday season.

The thought that truly counts is the one makes the difference.

Welcome to the wonderful world of KUDU.  We help improve the
lives and circumstances of Africans by promoting and distributing
their hand-made art.

Come check us out and see.

We are having our annual Christmas Open House this Thursday
evening from 3 - 7pm at our store located at 2155 E. 2100 S. in Salt Lake
City, Utah.  (11/29/12)

We want you there.

So swing by for a bit and see how many amazing Christmas gifts there are,
ripe for the plucking.  Or just pop in and say hello.

See you then!

New Shipment of Beads!
Beads of Hope
"These beads are made by beautiful Ugandan women who were formerly abducted by a rebel group called Lord's Resistance Army. They were child mothers, forced to carry guns while living on the run in the bush of Uganda. Lucy was abducted at 12 years old, and given to a 24 year old man. She became pregnant when she was only 13 years old. Determined to escape, even if it meant being killed, she eventually did, but on returning home found that she was not accepted by her family nor by the community because of her association with the rebels. Lucy has become a one-woman rescue operation, taking in other rejected women who have escaped from a life of sexual slavery and violence. Her group which they call Beads of Hope, meets every day when their children are in school, learning the parenting and other skills they missed out on when their own childhood was stolen. Lucy says "We are not educated but we want our children to go to school."'

These beads are so amazing. They come in all shapes and sizes.

AND come in every color of the rainbow.

We like to group them together.

A perfect and meaningful gift for mother's day. We have longer ones with smaller beads as well. There are so many varieties you won't believe it. Come by.

One-of-a-kind!

These amazing works of art are sure to stand out in your home. They are all one of kinds that are signed by the potter and painter. Each one comes with it's own unique story. These pieces are collected all over the world and we were lucky enough to get some here at KUDU. These pieces come up for auction and the buyers have to bid. If you loose the item, it is irreplaceable as there are no two pieces the same.

This incredible flower and elephant tureen.

such a fun and unique piece

This elephant and cheetah teapot is a conversation starter for sure. It really is amazing.

These pictures don't do these incredible pieces justice.

Zebra and croc dish with cacti.

Sorry this one is kind of blurry, still learning how to use the new camera.

Probably my favorite teapot. It reminds me of Mackenzie Childs, with an african twist.

This Giraffe dish has so much detail. The patience these artists must have astounds me.

The other side has an incredible flower.

My overall favorite. This zebra bread tray has all the right colors and its shape is so different.

People who come into the store love this one!

Like I said, these are the only ones like them and there are many more pieces not pictured. Come in and I would love to show them to you. If you live outside of Utah I will gladly send you any info you would like.
